We’ve always believed that the best technology doesn’t demand your attention — it just makes everything better without you really noticing. That’s exactly what we set out to prove with this project: a fully custom executive office that we designed, built, and programmed entirely in-house.
This wasn’t just an installation. Our team handled everything — the millwork, the lighting design, the acoustic planning, the integration. The result? A room that feels like a sanctuary, performs like a studio, and functions as a command center. It’s the kind of space where you actually want to spend your day.
Design and Craftsmanship
We built the entire design around contrast and warmth. Rich black trim and matte finishes play beautifully against natural oak accents, creating a timeless foundation for all the modern tech. But the real showstopper is the ceiling — custom reclaimed wood with color-tunable LED accent lighting woven throughout. It adds drama without feeling overdone.
Every texture, every finish was chosen to create a space that feels both inspiring and intimate. It’s a room that invites you to focus, to create, to think — and the lighting adapts right along with whatever you’re doing.

Lighting and Control – Precision in Every Scene
For control, we went with Lutron HomeWorks — the absolute best in residential automation. The black glass Palladiom keypads are sleek, tactile, and honestly just feel great to use. But the real magic happens with the Ketra lighting system.
Ketra gives you complete control over color temperature and hue in every fixture. Want a bright, energizing workspace in the morning? Done. Prefer a soft, golden glow for an evening listening session? Just as easy. The lighting adapts to the art, the materials, and most importantly, the mood you need in that moment.
Audio Performance – The Soul of the Room
Here’s where we really got to have some fun. The sound system in this office rivals what you’d find in high-end listening lounges. We built it around a McIntosh MTI100 integrated turntable — a gorgeous piece that blends analog warmth with modern streaming capability. It powers a pair of Origin Acoustics D109 flagship ceiling speakers that deliver a wide, balanced soundstage with incredible detail and emotion.
For the low end, we added a JL Audio 10-inch subwoofer. It provides tight, musical bass that complements the space rather than overwhelming it. And because we live in the streaming era, a Bluesound Node brings in all the major platforms with high-resolution audio quality — all while maintaining that classic McIntosh character we love.

Technology That Works as Hard as You Do
Of course, an executive office needs to be functional, not just beautiful. We installed a 55″ Sony OLED display in a custom oak enclosure that we fabricated right here at Atlantic AV. This display pulls double duty as both a Zoom conferencing hub and an extended workstation monitor.
We paired it with an Origin Acoustics soundbar to ensure crystal-clear audio for meetings and presentations. And because the desktop is hardwired directly to the display, you can seamlessly switch from a video call to a dual-screen setup for multitasking, design work, or content review. No fumbling with cables or adapters — it just works.
A Reflection of Purpose
This project means a lot to us because it represents everything we believe in: technology and design should exist in perfect harmony. Every decision we made — from where we placed the speakers to how we programmed the lighting scenes — was about enhancing the experience of being in this room, not complicating it with unnecessary bells and whistles.
This space embodies what we do best: creating environments that are as inspiring as they are intelligent, as personal as they are powerful. It’s a room that works exactly how you need it to, whenever you need it to.
And honestly? We’re pretty proud of how it turned out.
