Behind the Scenes: Where the Work Gets Done Before the Work Begins

At Atlantic AV, much of our work happens long before the first speaker is wired, the first shade is mounted, or the first light switch is programmed.

It happens every Tuesday morning around a long table in our Brunswick office. That’s where operations managers, field crews, estimators, sales, and scheduling come together for our weekly jobs meeting—a vital part of what keeps our business running smoothly and our clients happy.

This week’s jobs on the board include installations in Naples, Northport, Harpswell, and even a project on an island in Casco Bay. Each location presents its own logistics—from boat schedules and delivery windows to working around other trades, managing client timelines, and sequencing technology installations that sometimes span weeks or months.

In this industry, it’s easy to think of the work as purely technical—connecting cables, configuring systems, and calibrating speakers. But what truly sets Atlantic AV apart is how we manage the work. These weekly meetings are the hub where all the moving parts converge. Our team reviews every job on the board—from those in progress to new installations being scheduled—ensuring we know exactly where our people and materials need to be and when.

This coordination is essential in Maine, where weather, remote locations, and overlapping trades can quickly disrupt the best plans. Our Tuesday meetings give every department—from operations to sales—a shared understanding of priorities and potential bottlenecks. It’s here that we uncover small issues before they become big ones, whether it’s a delay in a product shipment or the need for a second visit to finalize a network setup.

Our team makes these meetings work. Each person around that table is committed to doing their job and understanding how it fits into the broader success of a project. That culture of awareness and accountability allows us to confidently manage jobs across multiple counties—and sometimes across bodies of water—all while maintaining high quality and responsiveness.

We know our clients may never sit in on these meetings or see the day-to-day planning that goes into every project. But they see the results: jobs that move forward efficiently, tech that works the first time, and a team that shows up prepared and informed.

So, while it may not be the flashiest part of our business, this meeting is one of the most important. It’s where our promise of professionalism and follow-through takes shape, one job at a time.

Whether installing a complete automation system in Northport or wiring outdoor speakers for a coastal home in Harpswell, you can be sure the process began right here—around a table, with a team focused on getting it right.
